- You contact us and we will ask you about the type of tuition you or your child requires. We will ask for the address that you would like the lessons to take place, your email, telephone number and availability.
- If your child is preparing for a specific exam, we would need to know the syllabus or the modules they are taking at school so that we can pass this information onto the tutor(s). You may like to also inform us of any additional relevant information about your child that be helpful in finding the right tutor. For example, any learning difficulties.
- Based on the information you give us, we will usually contact the tutor who we feel will be the most suited to your child’s needs. If the placement is urgent, we can send out a broadcast message to our tutors where individuals can “apply” for the position. Our recommendation is based on the tutor’s subject suitability for the placement as well as their experience, character and location. The timescale of finding a tutor can vary but we endeavour to secure a suitable tutor within 24-48 hours.
- Once the tutor has accepted the placement, we will email you the tutor’s profile. If you are happy to proceed, we will confirm the arrangement in an email which includes the tutor’s details, the tuition arrangements and our terms and conditions.
We operate using a portal where Telios Tutors, tutors and clients can access with different permissions. This allows tutors to log lessons, clients to check invoices and Telios Tutors to oversee all lessons for quality assurance and accountability. Tutors often write lesson reports after each lesson through this means and clients will receive this in an email. This can also be viewed online on our portal.
